Khabarindiaonline: India’s women cricket team is in Sri Lanka to play its first ever bilateral series with the neighboring country. The series will have three ODIs and five T20 matches with the first ODI scheduled on Tuesday at Galle.
Addressing a pre-series press conference in Colombo Saturday evening, Indian captain Mithali Raj said that her team is positive about performance on the field. She said that the series will count for ICC points and will be crucial for both the teams.
The Indian captain also lauded the performance of their Srilankan counterpart saying that they have grown from year to year and they expect a competitive series. Sri Lanka will be led by Chamari Attapattu. ( Source: DD NEWS ).
