Khabarindiaonline: People in western Japan are bracing for strong winds and torrential rain as Typhoon Cimaron approaches the country’s main islands. Weather officials believe it could make landfall as early as Thursday night.
The Meteorological Agency says Cimaron is located south of Shikoku island. It is traveling northwest across the Pacific at a speed of 35 kilometers per hour. The officials say the typhoon will lead to heavy rainfall in some places. Air travel and other transportation systems have been disrupted. About 200 flights have been canceled. ( Source: AIRN ).
