Khabarindiaonline: Incessant rains and floods have claimed at least 26 lives in Kerala in the last two days.
The Met Department has predicted heavy rainfall for another 48 hours in the state.
Teams of the National Disaster Response Force, Army, Navy, and Coast Guard are deployed in various affected districts for rescue operations.
Meanwhile, Centre has said it is ready to provide all possible assistance.
Home Minister Rajnath Singh said he will speak to Kerala Chief Minister on the issue.
He was responding to Congress member K C Venugopal and CPI(M) member P Karunakaran who raised the issue of the Kerala floods and sufferings of the affected people in the Lok Sabha during Zero Hour.
