Khabarindiaonline: Maharashtra government employees have withdrawn their three-day-long strike following an assurance from the government to consider their demands.
In a meeting with the representatives of Maharashtra State Employees Organisation yesterday, State Chief Secretary DK Jain assured the employees that the government is positively considering their demands regarding the implementation of the Seventh Pay Commission.
The association was informed that arrears of the Seventh Pay Commission will be given with retrospective effect from January 2016, while the Dearness Allowance will be given retrospectively for the last 14 months.
Around 17 lakh Class-3 and Class-4 employees of the state government were on strike since Tuesday. ( Source: AIRN ).
