Khabarindiaonline: Incessant rain delayed the start of play in the 2nd cricket Test between India and England on the opening day at the Lord’s in London today.
To make up for the lost time, the match officials decided to take an early lunch, moving the scheduled break ahead by 30 minutes.
Tea was taken too without the action on the field.
It was still drizzling when reports last came in.
Another inspection will happen once drizzling stops completely.
England named a first 12 yesterday, with 20-year-old Olliver Pope waiting to make his Test debut. India have not yet named any shortlist of players.
England are leading the five-match series 1-0 after winning the first Test in Birmingham by 31 runs. ( Source: AIRN ).
